Welcome to this COBI Panzer VIII Maus Tank Review of set 3024.
I recently got into buying the super heavy tanks made by Cobi. These include the infamous Panzer Maus and the Jagdpanzer E100.
These tanks are huge and make the heavy tank models like the Tiger 2 and Ferdinand’s look puny by comparison!
The unique Cobi tank track system as well as their cool and historically accurate designs make these really great functional toys and collector items.

German Panzer VIII Maus Super Heavy Tank
The Panzer VIII Maus is a super-heavy German tank from World War II. Only prototypes were ever produced which were soon captured by the Red army.
The Maus was the greatest vehicle of this type to have ever been produced. The only existing model of the pzkpfw VIII can be seen in a Russian museum in kubinka near Moscow.
Cobi Panzer Maus
The COBI Panzer VIII Maus Tank set 3024 comes with 890 pieces and 1 minifigure as well as game codes for World of Tanks.
The Maus is 38.5 cm long (15.1 inches) and 12.5 cm high (4.9 inches).
Cobi Panzer Maus Features
First off, the tank is absolutely massive. Probably the largest tank Cobi ever made!
The tank tracks in particular are larger than the tracks on the Tiger 2 and other Cobi tank models. These tracks move reasonably well on both and hard surfaces and carpet.
The side skirts keep the track system almost fully enclosed.
The turret is massive and fully rotates. The main gun is huge in comparison to the Elefant tank or others and is supposed to be a 128mm gun. There is also a smaller gun next to the main gun that is supposed to represent a 75mm gun. The gun mantlet moves up and down.
On top of the turret are 2 hatches that open and close for minifigures.
There is no interior engine compartment like some other Cobi Tank Models.
At the front of the hull there is also a driver hatch that opens and closes with room for 1 mini figure.
This tank is super smooth and doesn’t have lots of details, but it is an accurate model of the infamous Panzer Maus!
The model kit also comes with stickers.
Overall this was a great addition to my growing Cobi collection.
