Welcome to my Cobi Nashorn Tank Review of set 2517 part of the Cobi historical collection. This tank set is for the true connoisseur of World War 2 German Armor.
I bought this iconic German Tiger tank as a companion to my other German tanks including the Tiger 1, Panzer IV, Panther Tank and the Tiger 2 or King Tiger Tank.

German Nashorn Tank Destroyer
Nashorn (German) the “Rhinoceros”) was an extremely effective German tank destroyer during world War II, especially at long distances. The Nashorn entered service in February 1943, just before the Battle of Kursk.
The massive and high silhouette of the Vehicle was an easy target in direct combat, but thanks to the very modern and effective gun Pak 43 with a calibre of 88 mm, The Nashorn was able to destroy enemy vehicles from a great distance.
The Nashorn was the only German tank to ever destroy a US Army M 26 Pershing Tank in Battle.
Cobi Nashorn Tank
The Cobi Nashorn Tank Destroyer comes with 580 pieces and 2 mini figures. World War 2 era weapons are also included.
Cobi Nashorn Tank Features
The Nashorn Tank Destroyer features a lot of great things. First, the main gun is absolutely massive, very detailed and moves up and down.
The back compartment opens and closes and there is room for the gun crew.
This set comes with lots of custom printed pieces. I just wish Cobi would have included some actual ammunition shells.
The tank tracks are the wide, thin Cobi design. The tracks work really well with the wheels and a caterpillars. On the old design of the Panzer 4 and 3 tracks would sometimes lock up but not with this design.
Overall, this tank met my expectations and is a really cool addition to my Cobi German armored forces.
