I’ve been collecting a lot of tanks from the Cobi World War 2 and World of Tanks lines and was impressed with their high quality and historical accuracy.

Messerschmitt Bf 109
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 is a German World War II fighter aircraft that was, along with the Focke-Wulf Fw 190, the backbone of the Luftwaffe’s fighter force.

The Cobi Messerschmitt Bf 109E set 5517 comes with 250 pieces and 1 pilot mini figure.
Cobi Messerschmitt Bf 109E Features
As with all Cobi models, this set is extremely well done. The brick model looks exactly like the iconic German Luftwaffe Bf 109 E.
The wingspan measures 32 cm (12.5 inches). The aircraft is 28 cm long (11 inches) and about 5 cm (2 inches) high. So it’s a good sized aircraft that is scaled to the other Cobi World War 2 sets like the tanks and other vehicles.
The model looks and feels like the real thing. The propeller rotates, the landing gear retract and there are some custom pieces like the tail fin. There’s also wing flaps that move up and down.
The set comes with it own stand with custom printing that says the name and model of the aircraft.
Whether you want to build and display this model of or build and play this is a really cool addition to my Cobi aircraft collection.
Overall this is a great brick model of the iconic Messerschmitt Bf 109E.
