Gudi T-62 Tank Review (set 600019)

Welcome to my Lego Gudi T-62 Tank Review (set 600019).

A lot of people have questions about the quality and compatibility of Chinese Lego knock offs so I’ll be reviewing a bunch of these military Lego style sets.

First off, Lego does not make any military sets so Gudi’s military block sets aren’t Lego rip offs. They are their own unique sets.

I always wanted to build Lego tanks as a kid but the major problem was the track system. For a while I had some rubber tracks but they weren’t big enough to build a cool looking tank.

Lego Technic tracks came in expensive sets and weren’t economical to build a few custom tanks.

Chinese block makers like Kazi, Gudi, Xingbao and others fill this crucial void in the building block market.

Soviet T-62 Tank

The T-62 was a Soviet main battle tank that entered service in 1961. Thousands were built and the tank has seen extensive combat experience in the Arab-Israeli wars, the Gulf War and the Soviet war in Afghanistan.

The tank features a 115mm main gun and has a low profile which is a common design feature of Soviet tanks.

Gudi T-62 Tank Features

The Gudi T-62 Tank set comes with 372 pieces and the price is definitely right at about $20 USD.

This tank is built to scale. The dimensions are: 24cm long, 8cm wide and 13.5 cm high.

There is also a radar outpost with spotlight as well as another brick barrier.

The set includes 3 mini figures (a commander, an infantry soldier and a terrorist).

The T-62 tank is quite detailed. It has a fully rotating turret with a main gun that moves up and down. It also has a mounted heavy machine gun that looks really cool.

This tank has rubber tracks and wheels that move.

The commander’s hatch on the top of the turret opens and a minifigure can be placed there.

While this set isn’t as detailed as the other tank sets that I’ve reviewed, its still really cool and the value is definitely there.
