Welcome to this Quan Guan Lego King Tiger Tank Review of set 100066. This one is a Chinese Cobi knockoff, but still nice.
I believe this model to be the Henschel design, not the Porsche Turret.
I love building Lego brick tanks and Cobi and Quan Guan make the absolute best Lego compatible tanks around.
The unique Cobi tank track system as well as their cool and historically accurate designs make these really great functional toys and collector items.

German King Tiger Tank (Tiger 2)
The Tiger II was the successor to the Tiger I, combining the latter’s thick armour with the armour sloping used on the Panther medium tank.
The tank weighed almost 70 tonnes, and was protected by 100 to 185 mm (3.9 to 7.3 in) of armour to the front. It was armed with the long barrelled 8.8 cm KwK 43 L/71 anti-tank cannon.
The chassis was also the basis for the Jagdtiger turretless Jagdpanzer anti-tank vehicle.

The set comes with 978 pieces, 6 Lego like mini figures and World War 2 era weapons like the German MG 34 Machine Gun. The tank measures 33 cm long (13 inches), 14 cm wide (5.5 inches) and 11.2 cm high (4.4 inches).
Quan Guan King Tiger Tank Features
This tank has similar features to the Cobi King Tiger tank model.
First, the turret fully rotates 360 degrees and the main gun moves up and down. It has a custom muzzle brake and a custom piece at the base of the gun.
The top turret has a single round hatch that opens and closes and you could slightly modify the kit and mount a machine gun with ammo belt.
On the back deck of the hull, there is an engine hatch that opens and closes to reveal a custom V12 tank engine. This engine reminds me of a model and does fit standard Lego pieces.
The front of the tank has a hull mounted machine gun. The front hull lifts up to reveal a driver compartment with seating for 2 crew members. Above this crew compartment is a round hatch that opens.
As with the Cobi models, there is lots of high quality custom printing that make these models so cool to build.
Finally, the tank tracks are copies of the Cobi system which is very good.
One issue I have with the tank is that the angle at the front and sides could have been better done. There are Lego pieces that would make for a more solid look. This was one design flaw that Cobi fixed in its newest version of the King Tiger.
Overall, a great tank and a great addition to any brick army!
